Patience is a Virtue Sometimes

I have been a volunteer parent educator within the disabled community for the past 14 years. I love sharing resources with others because I am great at doing research. Research has been my passion ever since high school. It got even better for me since I started surfing the web back in 1996. I know it shows with each of my books. I have one published already, and I am already working on my second book which will be on Autism.

90 Days and Counting

It is hard to believe that in 90 days that I will be in Nebraska. I have been excited about the trip for almost a year since I got selected to attend them as an athelete. I will be competing in track and field also known as athletics in Special Olympics terms. I will be competing in the 400 meter, 800 meter, and 1500 meter race walking events and the shot put. I attended the first National Games which were held in Iowa almost 4 years ago. I look forward to competing again on the national level again. I hope one day to compete on the world level!

Marketing 101: Book Expos

I recently published a cookbook. I did it through a publish on demand publisher. I write for a very niche genre. It is very hard to find a publisher most times to cover what I write. I am lucky that they offer publishing for free through Lulu.com You can elect not to use some services if you chose.

I signed up for a book expo next month. It had cost me a registration fee to become a part of it. I decided it was well worth the price. I do not have to be present at the expo.

I look forward to seeing what happens after the book expo. It should be interesting how people react to my book. I know that it is different than the other books in the same genre were written. Hopefully, the others will see something interesting and different in my cookbook.

Cookbook Published

For about a few months last year, I worked on a gluten free or wheat free cookbook. I based it on adapting basic homestyle recipes that individuals would enjoy on a daily basis. The other prerequisite was that the recipes would be affordable. As a result, Simply Gluten Free Cooking was born. It contains 95 different recipes. It includes appetizers along with these meals, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It even includes a list of website resources for you. It was published by Lulu.com.
